Andrew Medlin, PT, DPT, CSCS
Andrew received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University. While enrolled there he was actively involved in research and is a published author in the fields of sensory integration and balance as well as the use of virtual reality in physical therapy. Prior to getting his doctorate he attended the University of North Texas and received a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He was a research assistant at the human performance lab on campus which studied the effects of supplements on athletic performance and muscle growth. He was recognized for his work by becoming the American College of Sports Medicine’s Student Major of the Year for his university.
Professionally Andrew has had clinical experiences in Texas, Wisconsin, and New York. He has worked in ICUs and hospital rehabilitation gyms, outpatient clinics specializing in vestibular and balance disorders, and he has worked in performing arts and dance medicine; including treating performers backstage on broadway. He is also a certified pilates instructor and loves taking reformer classes.
Andrew is an avid martial artist and holds a first degree black belt in Kung Fu and Tai Chi as well as being a certified martial arts instructor with the World Chinese Martial Arts Federation and the Taipei Martial Arts Association. He spends most of his free time trying to win the broadway lottery and playing tabletop games with his friends and family.
