COVID-19 Rehabilitation Therapy

With the entire world facing this new crisis, the respiratory health of our community has become increasingly more important. Our team of therapists is committed to helping those affected by COVID-19, as well as those affected by other pulmonary conditions, regain their mobility, decrease pain, and improve lung function for their overall health.

We are offering this lung strengthening breathing exercises and endurance training in-person and through our online Telehealth platform, SPEAR LIVE.

Who Can Benefit from COVID-19 Rehab Therapy?

Improved breathing function and posture, and stronger lungs, are beneficial for patients who have been diagnosed and/or assumed to have COVID-19. These breathing and lung endurance exercises are also beneficial to those who have other pulmonary conditions – like COPD – that have worsened due to decreased activity levels and postural dysfunction from being confined to their homes.

You can benefit if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms:

• Shortness of breath
• Difficulty breathing
• Chest and/or back pain
• Difficulty/pain coughing
• Difficulty clearing phlegm
• Weakness & poor endurance

How Does It Work?

Our Therapists will be performing evaluations and treatment of patients, which could include breathing exercises, posture exercises, endurance training and lung strengthening, through our online Telehealth platform SPEAR LIVE. Treatment sessions can include a variety of different techniques focused on what your complaints are, and can include:

• Self-mobilization and release of tight muscles and joints
• Breathing & coughing exercises to clear lungs
• Strength and endurance training
• Positioning for sleep/rest
• Pulmonary rehab education

If you have health insurance, it may cost you nothing. That is because, during the COVID-19 pandemic, many insurance companies are covering 100% of the costs for online, telehealth physical & occupational therapy appointments, including COVID-19 Rehabilitation.
